- Account information - name, email address, and hashed password when you register.
- Audio recordings - microphone audio captured during interviews, only when you explicitly start a recording from your Afterview dashboard.
- Transcripts and analysis - generated from your recordings by our AI pipeline.
2. How We Use Your Data
- Transcribe and analyze your interview recordings to provide feedback.
- Authenticate you and manage your account.
- Improve our analysis models using aggregated, anonymized data.
3. What We Do NOT Do
- We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
- We do not share individual recordings or transcripts with anyone.
- We do not record audio without your explicit action (pressing the record button).
- We do not collect browsing history, keystrokes, or any data outside of your interview recordings.
4. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on secure cloud servers. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt. Audio files are stored temporarily for processing and can be deleted from your dashboard at any time. All data is transmitted over HTTPS.
5. Third-Party Services
- OpenAI - used to transcribe audio and generate interview analysis. Audio and transcripts are sent to OpenAI's API for processing.
- Google Identity Services - used for optional Google Sign-In authentication.
6. Your Rights
You can at any time:
- Delete individual interviews from your dashboard.
- Request full account deletion by contacting us.
- Export your data by contacting us.
California residents (CCPA): You have the right to know what personal data we collect, request deletion of your data, and opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell your personal data.
7. Browser Permissions
- Microphone access - to record your audio during interviews. Only activated when you click Start Recording.
